Travel to Romania: A Fairytale Country
4-Day Trip
DAY 1
Early morning gathering at 05:45 with departure towards the Greek–Bulgarian border at Ormenio. After border control, entry into Bulgaria and a short stop for coffee.
We continue the journey with an intermediate stop for an individual meal just outside Veliko Tarnovo, a historic city of great importance as the former capital of Bulgaria.
We then cross into Romania via the “Friendship Bridge” over the Danube. The land of legends, medieval towns, and traditions welcomes us with unique landscapes and rich history.
Arrival in Bucharest, check-in at the hotel, and free time for a first introduction to the city. Overnight stay.
DAY 2
Breakfast and departure at 08:00 for the Prahova Valley.
First stop in Sinaia, a well-known mountain resort, named after the historic monastery of the area.
Next, visit to Bran Castle, associated with the legend of Count Dracula.
We then continue to Brașov, one of the most beautiful cities in Transylvania, featuring impressive medieval architecture. Tour of the old town, the city walls, the Black Church, and the Orthodox Church.
Free time and return to Bucharest. Overnight stay.
DAY 3
Breakfast and guided tour of Romania’s capital.
We will see the Arch of Triumph, the Palace of the Parliament (one of the largest administrative buildings in the world), the Romanian Athenaeum, the Royal Palace, the Patriarchal Cathedral, and the Greek Church.
Free time for shopping and lunch at a shopping mall. Return to the hotel and overnight stay.
DAY 4
Breakfast and departure at 09:00 towards the border.
We cross via the “Friendship Bridge” and continue into Bulgaria. Stop in Veliko Tarnovo for a short tour and an individual lunch.
We then continue the journey back to Greece via Ormenio. Arrival in the evening.
