Smyrna in Spring: A City Full of Life and Scenes.

4-day trip

DAY 1 

In the early morning, we depart from the designated point and, after a short break for rest and shopping at duty-free stores, we continue our journey toward the Greece–Turkey border. After completing the necessary passport and customs procedures, we enter Turkey and proceed via Keşan and Gelibolu.

We continue our journey through the modern 1915 Çanakkale Bridge, crossing the Çanakkale Strait and heading toward Asia Minor.

We continue via Edremit and arrive in Ayvalık. Here, free time will be given for sightseeing and lunch. Afterwards, we depart for Izmir. Upon arrival, we check into the hotel. In the evening, free time is provided for a walk along the Kordon waterfront. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 2

After breakfast, we depart for the Çeşme Peninsula. Our first stop is Alaçatı, known for its distinctive architecture and charming atmosphere. We then continue to Urla and the area of ancient Clazomenae, with short stops to explore the history and landscape.

We return to Smyrna (Izmir) and visit the traditional Kemeralti Bazaar, one of the oldest markets in the region. Free time is provided for walking, shopping, and dining. In the evening, we return to the hotel for overnight accommodation.

DAY 3

In the morning, we depart south with our first stop in Selçuk. We visit the wider area of ancient Selçuk and the archaeological site of Ephesus, one of the most important archaeological sites in Asia Minor, with a rich history from antiquity through the Hellenistic and Roman periods.

We then continue to the cosmopolitan Kusadasi for free time, lunch, and shopping. In the afternoon, we visit the picturesque village of Şirince, known for its traditional architecture and charming narrow streets. There, we stay for coffee or dessert before returning to Izmir. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 4 

Departure for the return journey, with the first stop in Cordelio, accessible via a short sea transfer. We then continue our route toward Foça, where there will be free time for lunch.

Afterwards, we head to Çanakkale and cross the Dardanelles Strait. We continue toward the border, complete the crossing, and return to Greece. Arrival in the city in the evening marks the end of the excursion, with beautiful memories and experiences.
