Fthiotida: A Journey Full of Experiences.
4-day trip
DAY 1
Departure early in the morning (06:00) with destination Ypati. Stops will be made along the way for coffee and meals. Arrival in Ypati and check-in at the hotel.
Dinner at a local tavern and evening outing in the area of Loutra Ypatis. Overnight stay.
DAY 2
Breakfast at the hotel and departure for a visit to the Monastery of Agathonos Monastery, where an important historical relic is kept.
We then continue to Proussos Monastery (at an altitude of 800 m), an impressive monastery of the Virgin Mary built on a steep cliff, where items related to Georgios Karaiskakis are also exhibited.
Next, we visit the picturesque village of Megalo Chorio (Evrytania). We stop in Karpenisi for free time and lunch.
We return to Ypati for rest. In the evening, we go out to Kompotades for dinner at a local tavern. Overnight stay.
DAY 3
Breakfast and departure for Livadeia. Visit to the area of the Krya Springs, a site of exceptional natural beauty, where local events take place featuring traditional food, music, and dances.
Return to the hotel and free time for rest. In the afternoon and evening, free time in Ypati, where local activities and cultural events are held in the central square. Overnight stay.
DAY 4
Breakfast and departure for a visit to the Gorgopotamos Bridge, famous for its historic demolition in 1942 by resistance groups with the support of British saboteurs.
Next, we continue to Volos, where there will be free time along the waterfront for lunch at traditional “tsipouradika”.
Afterwards, we depart for the return journey, with intermediate stops for coffee and rest. Arrival in the city in the evening.
