3-Day Trip
DAY 1
The excursion begins early in the morning with departure from Thessaloniki and crossing the Greek–Bulgarian border at Ormenio. Through a beautiful route in northern Strandzha and towns such as Topolovgrad, Elhovo, and Sredets, we arrive in Burgas. We then visit the picturesque Nessebar, a historic town with a strong Byzantine character and many old churches, where there is free time for a walk and lunch. Afterwards, we head to the resort of Sunny Beach, where we check in at the hotel, rest, and have free time to get acquainted with the area.
Dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 2
After breakfast, we depart for an excursion to Varna, the most important city on the Black Sea, also known as the “maritime capital.” Our first stop is the impressive Aladzha Monastery, a rock-hewn monastery of great historical and spiritual significance.
We then continue with a tour of Varna, visiting the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and enjoying free time for walks, coffee, and shopping.
Return to the hotel, dinner, and overnight stay.
DAY 3
After breakfast, we depart for the historic town of Anchialos, known for its ancient Greek origins, vineyards, and salt flats. We continue to Sozopol, one of the oldest Greek colonies on the Black Sea, featuring a picturesque old town, narrow streets, and a strong historical atmosphere.
Our next stop is the Burgas area, where there will be free time for a walk, lunch, and shopping. In the afternoon, we begin our return journey with intermediate stops, arriving back in the city of departure and concluding the excursion.
